Yes for Switch, no separate Switch 2 version. The Nintendo Switch version releases on Thursday, October 15, 2026, the same day as the other platforms.[1][2] Nintendo's US store sells it as a Nintendo Switch game. Its Switch 2 compatibility note reads: "Supported – Game behavior is consistent with Nintendo Switch."[2]
So on a Switch 2 you play the Switch version, and Nintendo says it behaves the same as on Switch. Neither Konami's product page nor Nintendo's store page lists a Switch 2 Edition or a paid upgrade (checked October 7, 2026).[3][2]

Nintendo's page estimates the game file size at 4.2 GB on both Switch and Switch 2.[2] Konami's figure is the minimum required capacity per edition.[3] The two pages measure different things, so we show both.

Demo on Switch and moving your save
The demo launched on October 1, 2026 on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.[4] Progress carries over to the full game, but only on the same platform and the same account. Keep the demo save, and update the full version to the latest version before you transfer.[4]
Konami's own words are "same platform", and Switch 2 runs the Switch version, so a Switch demo save should work on the Switch release played on a Switch 2. That is our reading, not an official statement. We will update this page if Konami or Nintendo confirms it.
Why some sites still say "Switch later"
At the June 8 announcement, Konami gave October 15 for PS5, Xbox and Steam. It said the Switch release date and pre-orders "will be announced at a later time."[5] On July 15, 2026, Konami's site added: "Nintendo Switch™ Release date set for Thursday, October 15, 2026."[1] Articles written before mid-July can be out of date.
Price on Switch
We could not read the eShop price on Nintendo's page when we checked. On Steam (US), the Standard Edition is $29.99 and the Midnight Edition is $39.99.[6] See Editions and Midnight Edition for what the extra money buys.
